Annual New Year’s Day Hike, January 1, 2025
January 28, 2025
Over 100 people and a few dogs joined us for our annual First Day Hike at Prospect Hill Park. That is a great turnout considering the weather was not ideal. About half of the attendees left from the traditional spot near the South Gate to PHP and the other half departed thirty minutes earlier from Craft Food Hall for a longer hike through the park. We all met at Little Prospect for high fives and photographs. Hooty the Donation Owl graciously collected $125! We hope you and your family join us next year.

Over 60 nature lovers of all ages came to Christ Church for a program with Rick Roth the Snake Man and the Cape Ann Vernal Pool Team . We were introduced to many snakes found in New England and the world. Members of the team walked through the audience with them so everyone could see up close and take photos. Afterwards, brave people who wanted to hold the legless reptiles were given that opportunity. Many thanks to the Waltham Cultural Council for supporting this event!
