Brainstorming Session w/Local Boys & Girls Clubs, July 23, 2025
July 23, 2025
WLT ED Sonja was pleased to present to teens from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Waltham, Newton, and Watertown about our programs.
She asked them to brainstorm answers to this question “How can we engage younger people in our activities, particularly our efforts to end the use of rodenticide in Waltham?” and was very impressed with their ideas!
Many thanks to WPS Institute for inviting us and to the Charles River Museum of Industry & Industry for hosting.

Over 60 nature lovers of all ages came to Christ Church for a program with Rick Roth the Snake Man and the Cape Ann Vernal Pool Team . We were introduced to many snakes found in New England and the world. Members of the team walked through the audience with them so everyone could see up close and take photos. Afterwards, brave people who wanted to hold the legless reptiles were given that opportunity. Many thanks to the Waltham Cultural Council for supporting this event!
