Creating a legacy of land conservation in Waltham
Please join members of 350 Mass Waltham and the Waltham Land Trust as we clean up the Charles River Greenway. This area is a beautiful walking and biking path, and since it does not have any trashcans, can get dirty from time to time.
Join us for a 1.5-mile leisurely walk on the Pondside Walkway, starting at 1:30pm, to learn about ongoing stewardship efforts to protect Hardy Pond, enjoying sights of nature along the way. We’ll end at the Land Trust’s Lakeview Preserve at 3:00pm to check out the new land we purchased in June.
Stretch and hold in a field at Met State with Jeanne Kelly, a popular yoga instructor at the Waltham YMCA. To get the WLT Member pricing, login when registering for the event. Rain date is October 10th.
Celebrate Halloween with a spooktacular day on the trails! The Waltham Land Trust invites you to celebrate Halloween in the best way possible — moving through nature, in costume (if it’s safe to run in), and helping protect Waltham’s beautiful open spaces.
Since 2013, our Western Greenway 5K has brought together people of all ages to enjoy 3.1 miles of gorgeous fall scenery.

Before the main race kicks off, kids ages 10 and under can join our 50-yard Monster Dash at 11:30 am — a quick, fun sprint where every child gets a small treat for participating. Free for children who attend with an adult running the 5K, $5 suggested donation otherwise. Perfect for little ghosts and goblins who want in on the action!
