Brandeis University Students for Environmental Action will be taking the 10:19am commuter rail to Porter Square and then walking or taking the subway to Cambridge. The Interfaith Climate Walk will leave from Cambridge at 11:30 am and walk to Copley Square. At 2:00 pm there will be an Interfaith Service for Climate Rescue at Old South Church, 645 Boylston Street, Boston. The day will culminate with a Rally for Climate Rescue at Copley Square from 3-4:30 PM.
The interfaith walk for Climate Rescue, sponsored by Religious Witness for Earth, is an organized walk from March 16th to 24th across the state of Massachusetts to call attention to the urgent and ethical need for swift, bold and comprehensive action to address global warming. People of all religious faiths are invited to walk any part of the route from Northhampton to Boston and stay overnight in local houses of worship.
