Walk at dusk and quietly see the woodcocks dance on an early spring evening.
We will walk to a spot in Waltham where we will likely be able to observe woodcocks dancing in their usual spring activities. We do not want to cause any disruption to the birds so this event is limited to 10 people. You will need to be able to be quiet and observant. If you have binoculars, please bring them. You will want to wear sturdy shoe and dress warmly. If it has been wet in recent days, boots might be more appropriate. If you have a flashlight, bring for the short walk back after our viewing. We ask that you register by email info@walthamlandtrust.org or call the office at 781-893-3355. At the registration time, we will provide you with the exact meeting location and any other details.
If we receive a large number of requests for this event, we may schedule a second viewing.
