Learn the history and future of the Greenway from one of its original creators and most dedicated trail blazers.

From concept to halfway complete: How a group of citizens worked together for over a decade to create an 1100 acre greenway and trail system in Waltham, Lexington and Belmont. Presenter: Roger Wrubel, director, Mass Audubon Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary. The Belmont Citizens Forum named Roger Citizen of the Decade for his perseverance in protecting the Western Greenway. Co-sponsored by Sustainable Belmont, Citizens for Lexington Conservation, Belmont Citizens Forum, and Waltham Land Trust.

Location: in the middle of the Western Greenway, Avalon at Lexington Hills, Metropolitan Parkway North (GPS: 60 Concord Ave). Follow signs to the auditorium.
