Sign up now to run or walk the Western Greenway for 3.2 miles and help the WLT raise money!

The Race for Open Space Western Greenway 5K is our annual Fall fundraiser where we ask you to walk, jog or run 3.2 miles of the Western Greenway Trail in North Waltham and Belmont, enjoying amazing foliage and beautiful nature along the way. The entry fee is only $25, and all proceeds benefit the WLT and RAW, the Race Around Waltham Series folks who help us put on the event. Register before September 16 to get the cool t-shirt!

Number pick up and registration will be available at Playmakers Bar and Grill at 342 Moody St on Saturday, October 1 from 4-7 p.m. and Sunday, October 2 beginning at 10:30 Elsie Turner Field Waltham. Additional $5 charge for Saturday/Sunday registrations. Playmakers will also host the post-race party. Thanks, Playmakers!

The Western Greenway features miles of trails and old carriage roads which loop through a variety of habitats including cattail marshes, red maple swamps, mature oak-hickory forests, vernal pools, new forests, and open meadows. The course is rocky and unpaved, therefore strollers or baby joggers are not allowed on the course. Learn more and register below.
