Celebrate spring by shopping at the indoor market featuring local products!
The Waltham Land Trust invites you to participate in our Warm-up to Earth Day: Indoor Market “Warm-up to Earth Day: Indoor Market”on April 10, 2010 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Thanks to St. Mary's Church at 133 School Street. The market will now be held in the lower level. Entrance to the lower level of the church is from the parking lot at 30 Pond Street. The market was moved because the roof at the former Waltham Field Station was compromised by water and the auditorium is no longer available. We will celebrate spring and what is to come. We will feature local Massachusetts producers, their food, and products! Eating and buying local is such an integral part in preserving our earth and world.
Come to the market and shop with local Massachusetts businesses. Support the Waltham Land Trust and enjoy a hotdog lunch with chips and a soda.

You will also be able to chat with members of The Waltham Energy Action committee (WEA) and learn about their activities. This is a group formed by the Mayor of Waltham to advise and assist the City in developing priorities, policies and programs focused on cost effective energy efficiency improvements, expanded renewable energy use in public and private buildings, transportation systems and other uses of energy in the City.
Members of the Fernald Working Group will also be available. Fernald Working Group is a coalition of Waltham organizations working for a community-based plan for the reuse of the Fernald Center site.
