Learn how to protect yourself against ticks and other summer nature hazards. Afterwards, hear more about the Waltham Land Trust.

It's tick season, and they are out in the woods, along the trails, and in your back yard. If you know how to identify them, protect yourself against them, and remove them if necessary, the prospect of encountering ticks isn't so scary. At this informative session, learn how to differentiate between female and male deer and dog ticks in their various life stages from our outdoor specialist, WLT Director Lesya Struz. She'll also give tips on dressing for summer months and avoiding other warm-weather dangers like poison ivy, heat exhaustion, and insect bites. Stick around afterwards for a brief talk about the Waltham Land Trust, who we are, what we've been, and what we plan to do.
