Learn about invasive plants at the Lyman Estate and practice what you've learned along adjacent farm fields and the Mass Central Rail Trail.

Attend this fun lecture with Dr. Eric Olson about invasive plants in the area surrounding the Vale. Then we'll walk to the nearby fields leased by Waltham Fields Community Farm (WFCF) to learn about their vegetable production on the property, and help control invasive species on the field edges and along the abutting Mass Central Rail Trail. The program is free but registration is appreciated: http://shop.historicnewengland.org/p-7446-managing-invasive-plants-lecture-and-lyman-environs-tour.aspx. Co-sponsored with Historic New England and WFCF.
