ALL AGES: Work a few hours clearing the Mass Central Rail Trail of overgrown vegetation!
Join the volunteers from the nationwide Student Conservation Association (high school seniors, college freshman) as they teach Leave No Trace Principles and clear the Mass Central Rail Trail between Lyman Street and Middlesex Circle. There are two sessions: 9:30 to 12 noon, and 1 to 3:30 pm. All ages welcome for one or both! We'll be chipping branches, removing underbrush, and establishing the Rail Trail. Bring work gloves, a snack, and lunch if you're staying through. Tools and instruction will be provided. Registration appreciated but not required. Contact Sonja to RSVP or if you have questions.
