Join the Waltham Land Trust and the Belmont Citizens Forum for a walk through Beaver Brook North Reservation formerly the land of the Metropolitan State Hospital. Board Member David Kehs will introduce us to the property and its history. Birders Jason Forbes and Florence DiTirro will walk with us and help identify various birds along the trail. We will start on the trail in the Elsie Turner Field parking lot. This Waltham park in on Trapelo Road across the National Archives.
The walk will be followed by a pot luck picnic in joint celebration of both the Belmont Citizens Forum and the Waltham Land Trust's 10th year anniversaries!
Starting with being founded in the same year, we have so much in common. We hope you will join us for this great opportunity to meet Belmont citizens who are working as we do in Waltham to preserve our lands and improve the quality of life in both our communities!
Bring your food to share and chairs and/or blankets to enjoy your lunch. Belmont Citizens Forum and the Waltham Land Trust will provide plates, cups, utensils, and water!
