Now that the spring thaw is upon us…it’s that time again!

The Hardy Pond Association and the Waltham Land Trust are sponsoring the annual community cleanup of the shoreline and wetland areas around Hardy Pond. Be prepared to get dirty; long sleeve shirts, sturdy shoes or boots recommended. Gloves and trash bags provided. Children are welcome! Kids under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Pizza and refreshments provided afterwards; please register and tell us how many you are bringing so we have enough at info@walthamlandtrust.org or 781-893-3355!

The Hardy Pond Association was formed to restore and preserve Waltham's only Great Pond, and to protect its wildlife and recreation. The Waltham Land Trust's mission is to establish a legacy of conservation in Waltham by preserving our community’s natural resources through open space advocacy, education, acquisition, and protection.

As in past cleanups, volunteers will meet in back of the Lazazzero Playground at the entrance to the former dredging site along the pond (take Lake St. to Princeton Ave).
