Sign up your 3-5th grader to learn how animals adapt to changing conditions.

Each year, the Waltham Land Trust offers a special program during February school vacation. This time we are pleased to welcome two naturalists from the Mass Audubon Nature Center in Mattapan to the Prospect Hill Park Lodge to explain ways various animals change when their environment is altered. They'll be accompanied by a live hedgehog named Sugar and Patty the bearded dragon! If the weather cooperates, we'll go outside and look for signs of critters in Prospect Hill Park. We won't go out if it's pouring rain or extremely cold. Please be sure your child is prepared to be outdoors for 20-30 minutes. Sign your elementary school child up by emailing Sonja. This program has been sponsored in part by a grant from the Waltham Cultural Council, a local agency that is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
