Come help extend the Western Greenway!
Friends of the Western Greenway fall work day of the season is Saturday, October 2! This continues the work done this summer on the Shady's Pond portion of the Western Greenway trail building project. The work this day will be only trail building and clearing brush. We are planning to extend the trail to Trapelo Road. thus providing access to those existing trails in Lot 1 north of Trapelo Road.
Hours will be 8:30 - 4:00 and partial day participation is welcomed. Lunch will be served! Please bring your own water bottle. We will offer unlimited refills. All tools and training will be provided. The meeting location will be the rear of the Our Lady's parking lot, 857 Trapelo Road in Waltham. Work will proceed rain or shine.
Waltham Land Trust as a member of the Friends of the Western Greenway is cosponsoring this effort with participation by conservation groups from the neighboring communities of Lexington and Belmont.
