Come help extend the Western Greenway!

Friends of the Western Greenway fourth work day of the trail season is Saturday, June 26!   This continues the work done in previous work days on the Shady's Pond trail and last summer on the Western Greenway trail building project and the work on June 26 will be to construct another trail bridge. This summer work is in and around the Shady's Pond Conservation area in Waltham.  If during the summer all goes according to plan, the trail will be complete from Trapelo Road down to the Paine Estate.

June 26 we will meet at the basketball court near the end of Brookway Road (GPS and online maps: 71 Brookway Road, Waltham).  This is in the Waltham Housing Authority area.  There are parking spaces available next to the court.  There is no parking on Brookway Road. We ask that you register for each day. Hours will be 8:30 - 3:30 all days with partial day participation welcomed. Lunch will be served on all days. Bring your own water bottle. We will offer unlimited refills. All tools and training will be provided.  Meeting location for the July and August dates will be confirmed in future e-mails and an event update on the website for each of the work days. Work will proceed rain or shine.

Contact Cindy Hutchison at the Waltham Land Trust to register or with questions: 781-893-3355, info@walthamlandtrust.org.
