Spring isn't the only time to see birds -- from November to March, a variety of northern dwelling ducks come south, from Canada, to winter on our waterways. From diving ducks to dabbling ducks, from the diminutive Ruddy Duck, to the elaborate Hooded Merganser (the parrot of the ponds), come see what’s living in Waltham, and where to find it. We'll hope to see Common and Hooded Mergansers, Ringnecks, Mallards, Wigeons and Wood ducks.
Bring binoculars if you have them. Dress warmly and please note participants must be able to be quiet and observant. Please contact Karen Patterson to register. Free and open to the public.
